Luxury Wellness Travel Advisor
Rosedale Travel is a Virtuoso member agency based in Austin, Texas, and we match U.S. travelers to the luxury wellness resort that fits their goals, pace and budget. We book and personally vet 11 destination wellness properties, from Canyon Ranch Tucson to Joali Being in the Maldives, ranging from $4,000 to $20,000 or more per person per week. Every one of these resorts runs on a different philosophy: SHA Wellness sets your program before you arrive, Amangiri has almost no program at all. We ask about your goals before we recommend a property, then handle registration, room category and payment tracking after you book.
What Our Customers Say About Us
EXCELLENT Based on 16 reviews Posted on Google Jennifer GoodwillTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had the experience of my daughter’s high school graduation trip to Croatia planned by Rachel Baumgartner. It was amazing!! We had another family along with us and Rachel took so much time learning what was important to us, researching extensively the best fit for us regarding hotels, transfers, restaurants, excursions and more! The entire trip was seamless!! And during the trip she checked in on us and was quick to respond with any questions we had. I highly recommend Rachel and Rosedale Travel!!!Posted on Google Renee GrossTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Laura Spagnolo recently (fall 2025) planned an absolutely unforgettable group trip to Argentina. I travel frequently and this is the first trip I did not have to do or think about a single piece of the itinerary. I took my 12 yr old son, along with a few other families, on a planned group trip to Buenos Aires and iguazu falls. Starting with the preparation for the visit and Everything from city excursions, to soccer matches and stadium tours, to art centers, dinners out, fantastic hotels, experiencing the falls, and the ease with transfers and domestic flights ...it could NOT have been better. I will not plan trips without Rosedale travel from now on!! Thank you!Posted on Google William CrowleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rosedale travel was able to hook me up with a last minute excellent trip to Iceland. Kirsten worked with me to make sure everything we wanted to do got done, and even suggested some things I’d never heard of which I'm glad we did! I’ll be using Rosedale travel again in the near future!Posted on Google Briget McAninchTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Five stars aren't enough for Rachel! She delivered the most amazing and stress-free adventure for our son's 30th birthday trip to Moab! She helped with flights and booked a fantastic place to stay, but the lineup of incredible adventures she put together was the highlight. Our adventure loving son had a blast! Before we left, a physical folder with all our documents was delivered, and every detail was also available on a convenient app. Rachel was available for all our questions during planning and checked in with us during and after our trip! I will be using her services again and recommending her to everyone I know.Posted on Google Madison MontgomeryTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Not only is Rachel Baumgartner the best travel advisor I've ever had the pleasure of working with, but she is also one of the best individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. From start to finish, there is not a single thing she missed. She went above and beyond on everything possible and exceeded my expectations. She helped me plan my bachelorette, my fiance's bachelor party, and our honeymoon. I cannot recommend Rachel enough to anyone looking to plan travel. I am forever grateful to her for helping me to plan the trip of my dreams!Posted on Google Ashley AllemannTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kirsten at Rosedale planned our family trip to Greece. It was our first time using a travel agent but definitely won't be our last! Kirsten made the trip to easy and stress free! She listened to all our "wants" and built the perfect vacation for our family of 5. The excursions she booked were amazing - both were great companies to explore Greece with and we learned so much from our guides. The hotels and resorts she booked for us were beautiful properites and the extra perks (like welcome baskets and food vouchers) that we got from booking with Kirsten were a wonderful bonus! Don't hesitate to use Kirsten to design your next vacation - you will be so glad you did!Posted on Google Cindy AustinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kirstin was amazing! My sister and I had 17 tabs open trying to figure out connecting flights and/or trains in Europe to no avail! I reached out to her for the first time hoping that she could somehow solve this mystery and she did just that! She made it all work seamlessly. Going forward, I will never NOT travel without first consulting her. She had tips, ideas, suggestions, and solutions! She was easy to communicate with, affable, responsive to our desires and vision and followed through on everything she said. She asked for feedback afterwards, and I shared the one thing I wished had happened. I wish we had gotten the itinerary in paper prior to departure. She and I miscommunicated about that as I had handled all stateside flights prior to international flights so she didn't know our actual date of departure. Highly recommend.Posted on Google PDTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kirsten is a rockstar travel consultant. She is knowledgeable, professional and patient.Posted on Google Beth K ThorsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. KIrsten Billhardt of Rosedale Travel did a fabulous job of planning and organizing our first trip to Scandinavia; she even figured out a way to work in a side trip to northern Germany within a 11-day (including flights) timeframe! It's been five months since we went, and we're still raving about the variety of experiences including outdoor excursions, city explorations, historical site and special attraction visits, different transportation modes, and delicious food (we loved the huge hotel breakfast buffets). We highly recommend working with Kirsten!Posted on Google Matthew GraysonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rosedale knows the secret sauce of memorable travel.

Why Work With a Wellness Travel Advisor
Rosedale Travel is a Virtuoso member agency, which unlocks amenities you cannot book on your own. At Canyon Ranch Tucson, that is a $100 resort credit that grows to $300 total in a One-Bedroom Suite or higher on a stay of seven nights or more. At Rancho La Puerta, it’s a $200 spa credit toward a 50-minute massage and a 30-minute herbal wrap. At Joali Being, it’s a $250 wellbeing credit per villa, once per stay. At SHA Wellness Mexico, it’s up to $300 USD in wellness credit; at SHA Wellness Spain, the same structure runs in euros, up to €300. Three Forks Ranch sits outside the Virtuoso network, so we say so upfront, there is no credit attached to that reservation. Booking directly gets you the room. Booking through us gets you the room plus these perks, where they apply, at no added cost.
I have personally stayed at Canyon Ranch Tucson, Miraval Austin, Ojai Valley Inn and Three Forks Ranch, so what I tell you about those four comes from being there, not from a press kit.
We disclose and collect a planning fee before we start any research or property outreach. After you book, we handle program registration, schedule private consultation windows and track payments. Before you travel, you get a full documentation package. During the trip, you can reach us directly if a room needs reassigning or a flight gets delayed. After you return, we log what worked so your next trip needs less explaining.
How We Match You With the Right Wellness Resort
Your Wellness Goals
We start with how you want to feel when you get home. Relief from a specific stretch of burnout, a measurable reset, a return to a place that knows you, or simple distance from your normal life all point to different properties.
Luxury, Privacy and Setting
At Amangiri, the choice between the main resort and the more private Camp Sarika changes the entire feel of the stay, and that decision is worth making before you book, not after. If seclusion matters more to you than programming, it changes which property we recommend.
Program Structure
SHA Wellness requires every guest to select a named health program before arrival, and that choice sets your required nights, testing and pace. Canyon Ranch Tucson can be booked as a structured track with physician involvement, or fully self-directed with more than 30 daily activities and nothing required. Amangiri and Ojai Valley Inn carry no fixed program at all. First-time wellness travelers rarely know these distinctions exist unless someone tells them.
Dining and Alcohol
SHA Wellness discourages both coffee and alcohol and runs on its own program-specific menu. Canyon Ranch Tucson keeps dinner alcohol-free to protect sleep. Miraval charges a supplement for alcohol, including its zero-proof botanical cocktail menu. BodyHoliday runs a full open bar as part of the package. “Healthy food” means something different at every property, worth asking before you book, not after you arrive.
Length of Stay
Joali Being and COMO Shambhala Estate build their programs, sensory therapies, Wellness Paths, herbology, across multiple nights, so a two-night stay at either can feel unfinished. SHA sets its minimum nights by the program you choose. Three Forks Ranch has a three-night minimum. Ojai Valley Inn and BodyHoliday work well in a shorter window if you want a lighter introduction.
Solo, Couples or Friends
About 65 percent of our wellness travel clients go as a couple, but this is a category where solo travelers do particularly well, whether the goal is real solitude or meeting people once you’re there. Rancho La Puerta in particular draws solo travelers and mother-daughter pairs looking for an easy way to connect with a group.
Wellness Resorts We Recommend
United States
Canyon Ranch Tucson
Best for the Optimizer. 171 rooms across 150 acres, with the LONGEVITY8 diagnostics program priced separately from around $4,400 per night, or a fully self-directed stay with 30-plus daily activities and nothing required. Premium tier, $6,000 to $15,000 per person per week. Canyon Ranch Austin is expected to open in Fall 2026.
Miraval Austin
Ojai Valley Inn
Best for a short, closer-to-home reset. 220 acres, wellness is available rather than mandatory, works particularly well for a three- or four-night stay. Accessible tier, $4,000 to $6,500 per person per week.
Amangiri
Best for the Silence-Seeker. 34 suites across 900 acres of the Colorado Plateau, plus 10 private pavilions at nearby Camp Sarika, with no fixed activity calendar. Ultra-luxury tier, $20,000 or more per person per week.
Three Forks Ranch
Best for the Optimizer who wants adventure with the metrics. 280,000 acres on the Colorado-Wyoming border, fly fishing and horseback riding alongside an optional Mayo Clinic Longevity Assessment. Ultra-luxury tier, $20,000 or more per person per week. Not a Virtuoso property; three-night minimum.
Mexico
SHA Wellness Mexico
Best for the Optimizer who wants Canyon Ranch-level rigor on the coast. Every guest selects a named health program, longevity, metabolic health, detox and more, before arrival, and the program sets the required nights. Premium tier, $6,000 to $15,000 per person per week.
Rancho La Puerta
Best for the Belonger. More than 60 daily classes, hikes and workshops on a Saturday-to-Saturday format, built around a guest culture that returns year after year. Accessible tier, $4,000 to $6,500 per person per week.
Caribbean
BodyHoliday St. Lucia
Best for the Fun-Seeker. One included 50-minute treatment every full day, plus sailing, tennis, golf and a fully included open bar. Nothing is mandatory. Premium tier, $6,000 to $15,000 per person per week.
Europe
SHA Wellness Spain
The same program-first structure as SHA Mexico. Guests select a health objective, weight management, sleep, stress recovery, and the clinic builds diagnostics and treatment around it. Premium tier, $6,000 to $15,000 per person per week.
Asia
COMO Shambhala Estate
Best for the Silence-Seeker or Unplugger who wants more cultural texture. Set above Bali’s Ayung River, each Wellness Path opens with an individual consultation focused on stress, sleep, gut health or Ayurveda. Premium tier, $6,000 to $15,000 per person per week.
Maldives
Joali Being
Best for the Silence-Seeker who wants ritual alongside quiet. A private island with consultation-led Wellbeing Programmes built around Mind, Skin, Microbiome or Energy, or treatments chosen individually with the rest of the week left open. Ultra-luxury tier, $20,000 or more per person per week.
Wellness Trips We Don't Book
We don’t book psychedelic-assisted or plant-medicine retreats, including programs involving ayahuasca, psilocybin or ibogaine, anywhere in our network. The medical screening, legal landscape and safety considerations involved sit outside what we can vet responsibly, so we redirect clients elsewhere for that category of trip.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you charge a planning fee?
Yes. We disclose and collect a planning fee before we start any resort research or outreach.
What's the actual difference between booking a resort myself and booking through you?
The same room, plus Virtuoso perks you can’t get direct. At Canyon Ranch that’s up to $300 in resort credit depending on suite category and length of stay. At Rancho La Puerta it’s a $200 spa credit. At Three Forks Ranch there is no Virtuoso credit either way, since it sits outside that network, so our value there is the direct relationship and planning, not a perk stack.
I don't want a strict schedule. Which resorts have the least structure?
Amangiri has almost no programming. Ojai Valley Inn has none built in. Miraval is opt-in. Canyon Ranch offers a structured track, but you can also go fully self-directed there.
Can I do a wellness trip alone?
Yes. About 65 percent of our clients travel as a couple, but solo travelers do particularly well in this category, whether the goal is solitude or meeting people once you arrive. Rancho La Puerta in particular draws solo travelers.
Do you book ayahuasca or psilocybin retreats?
No. The medical screening and legal landscape for plant-medicine retreats fall outside what we vet, so we don’t book that category anywhere in our network.
Is Canyon Ranch opening a new property?
Yes. Canyon Ranch Austin is expected to open in Fall 2026. We’re tracking the details as they’re released.
How far in advance do I need to plan a wellness trip?
We turn around specific property and room-tier recommendations within a week of your discovery call, then adjust until the fit is right before we book.
Know What to Expect Before You Go
A 30-minute call costs nothing, and we will tell you honestly what a specific program looks like on the ground.
